USDA Certified 100% Organic
Quality starts with the hemp plants from which the CBD oil is derived. Our hemp is grown by our partner, Peterson Farms, which was among the first growers of hemp in Kentucky in 2015. Peterson Farms grows its hemp on rich, fertile land which is USDA Certified 100% organic. Some CBD oil producers use hemp grown with pesticides and herbicides. These substances can leave residues on the surface of plants and leaves. Additionally, they are taken up through the roots of the hemp plant and stay in the plant’s flowers and leaves which are extracted. Garbage in, garbage out.
By contrast, the organic hemp we use to extract CBD oil is grown on soil which has been tested for chemicals, pesticides and trace metals; we have passed all such tests and maintain documentation to this effect.
cGMP, Organic, and Kosher Lab Certifications
One of the ways manufacturers of food, drugs, and topicals ensure consumer safety is by following Good Manufacturing Practices. GMP standards are set forth by the United States Food and Drug Administration and other regulatory bodies, and they cover personnel qualifications, hygiene, laboratory controls, facility conditions, and other aspects of material safety. Kentucky Heritage Hemp has earned the cGMP certification, confirming that we are in compliance with the most current requirements as outlined in the [Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Parts 111 and 117].
Not only is our farmland certified USDA organic, our extraction laboratory is also certified organic and kosher. This means that Kentucky Heritage Hemp has established standards that ensure our operations comply fully with USDA organic regulations, confirming that our organic CBD oil is organic in two ways: it is derived from organically grown hemp plants, and it is processed with no chemical additives.

Independent Testing
Our CBD oil is tested by accredited, licensed third-party laboratories. These laboratories have been vetted and deemed to supply accurate and objective results. Many labs in the industry may be considered “pay for results” labs. We only work with ISO-17025 certified labs.
